Mashrabia Gallery located at the heart of Cairo in downtown, is one of the first private art galleries in Egypt, it was established by prominent Egyptian artist Saad Kamel in 1981 with the dream to promote local and international contemporary art.

Mashrabia Gallery returned to its original owners after 25 years of occupation by a former employee who claimed false ownership of the gallery, after a final judicial verdict she was expelled permanently from the gallery operation since 2019.
